The median listing price of homes for sale in the Ann Arbor real estate market is in the low $300s, averaging about $180 per square foot, an increase of six percent over last year. About 46 percent of Ann Arbor residents are homeowners, and the median cost of rent is about $1,500 per month.

Single family home prices start in the low $100s for two to three bedrooms in just under 900 square feet. Homes on the market at the median price point typically feature three to four bedrooms in about 1,700 square feet. At the high end of the real estate market are home listings priced from one to three million; these houses usually offer four to six bedrooms and as much as 11,000 square feet. Condos and townhome properties make up roughly a quarter of the real estate market and range from one- and two-bedroom condo units for less than $100,000 to prestige condos priced at over $1 million.
